Have you bought some of our notecards, greetings cards or prints? You'll have noticed that they came in a cello bag, so we thought we'd have a chat about it.
We sell our cards on our website directly and also on our wholesale sight which means we keep quite a good amount of them in stock at all times, as such we like to make sure they stay neat, dry and clean. Keeping them in the cello bags makes sure we can do this.
We source the cello bags from another small business, they are made in the UK, bio-degradable and made from plant based cellulose. Below is some of the technical information for the bags we source.
"Biodegradable & Sustainably Made in the UK: Adheres to EN 13432 standard, certified OKbiobased, manufactured from renewable vegetable starches, suitable for home composting, although can take up to, or over a year to degrade in home compost systems, dependent on location and climate."
We do add a little sticker to the bags to let you know you can compost or dispose of them in your normal household bin. But, if you're shopping from us and would prefer your cards and prints to not come in a cello bag however please let us know at checkout and we'll wrap them in our tissue paper instead and re-use the bag elsewhere.
